On Balloons

A balloon is a simple toy that delights the heart of any child. Be it a festival season, or a day in the park or at the beach; we find the eyes of children eagerly scan everywhere for balloons.

Balloons delight the hearts of young and old; both lovers and friends, and those who look for simple entertainment and hope.

A balloon filled with helium or hydrogen rise up when released from our grip. There is something inside the balloon that defies gravity–all negativity that pulls it down. Its aim is high; isn’t it?

Blood Jesus Cleanse

Then what a sight it is to see colourful balloons put together. The sheer joy of variety they bring is a sight to see. A room full of such balloons can make our hearts pulsate with joy. Celebrations are often marked by balloons.

Birthdays are occasions colourful balloons are present. Many ceremonies like Olympics and World Cup inaugurations employ them.

Coming back to our streets we cannot forget the balloon vendors in our neighborhoods who make a living selling not balloons but joy to our children. They too have families; and this is their lifeline to support them.

Let me conclude. Life is short and brief. But joy that you find lasts. May colourful balloons bring you happiness.

May memories of childhood and the simple joy of holding balloons–in red, white, blue, orange, yellow and pink; in shapes of hearts, monkeys, apples, and long–tails come back to you.

Making Fun of Others Will Boomerang One Day Says Class Leader

Good Afternoon Friends,

I stand here today to speak to you because of what happened this morning. One of our classmates had to leave the class in tears. She is our friend; yet our words and actions caused her to leave in shame and distress.

Who is responsible? We all are.

And what is the problem? Somehow we enjoy jokes at other’s expense. Everybody laughs. Maybe even the person about whom the fun was all about also joins in the laughter.

Blood Jesus Cleanse

But that doesn’t mean that the fun was cool. Knowingly or without thought we have wrongly succeeded in destroying the sense of worth of another person.

Now why do we crack silly and frivolous comments about someone’s personal appearance or dress or mannerisms? It is an attempt from our part to appear smart by diminishing someone else.

But that never works. You lose respect in the eyes of others when you tear down others through gossip, slander and depreciating comments.

One thing you should remind yourself is not to sit in the seat of mockers or scoffers. Don’t join together with your friends to make fun of others.

The temptation to do so is great, but with a little patience and effort you can overcome the urge to make fun of others. Instead, if you yield to it; someday it will boomerang on you.

I appeal to all who were involved in making fun of our dear friend to understand the deep hurt you have caused her. For you, it was moment’s joke; for her it is a lifetime of pain and shame.

What did you gain by making fun of her? Let me ask you, do you become smarter when you make fun of others? Or does your beauty increase when you demean others by your thoughtless remarks?

My dear friends, I ask you to try your best to redeem the situation. Reach out to her and say with genuine hearts that you’re sorry. There is still a ray of hope that things can be straightened out. Act before it is too late.

Let me conclude by appealing to the whole student community to put to an end to the insensitive act of making fun of others.

Thank you one and all.

Sample Introductions and Conclusions to a Few High School Essay Topics

The computer will soon replace the book
Intro
Computers will soon replace the book is a topic of debate. It is highly relevant in this fast paced world where technology has changed the way man thinks and acts. Though computers has made a new kind of reading habit possible, my strong view is that books and reading of the same will remain for a long time to come.
Conclusion
In the light of the above mentioned points it is very evident that computers can never replace books. This is because the habit of reading books is so close to the human heart.

The use of mobile phones has lowered active social life and has become an addiction
Intro
Mobile phones are here to stay. They have changed the way people communicate. It has come with several advantages. At the same time we need to look at the way it has made people addicted. We always see people bowed down and looking at their screens all the time.
Conclusion
Mobile phones has made instant communication possible. But it has destroyed relationships. When members of family sit together around a dining table and all are engaged with their own mobiles, has mobile phones made life better or worse? Without doubt this addiction is going to destroy the moral fabric of society.

No other subject taught in school is as important as moral science
Intro
What is education for? Is it just to gain knowledge? Or is the purpose of education to help a man or woman live life better? If that is the purpose, then definitely moral science taught in schools has an important role to play. As technology invasion has destroyed the moral fabric of society and families in particular the relevance of the subject of moral science is more important than ever.
Conclusion
Education system should not be a factory producing the same kind of products. Instead the realization that it is investing in the lives of youngsters who are the citizens of tomorrow should define the subjects taught. Moral Science will do greater good than all other subjects because it teaches a student what life is ultimately all about.

Cinema both entertains and educates the masses
Intro
Cinema is a medium which has influenced mankind tremendously in the last one hundred years. It reflects the realities of society. In that sense it educates. But the craft of the story, the larger than life screen in which it is shown, the popularity of the actors, the music, and beautiful locations in which it is shot entertains us.
Conclusion
In the history of mankind, there has not come into being a greater form of mass entertainment than the Cinema. Through its power to change the minds of people, it has educated people about very important situations that affect the world. Cinema will continue to impact people for decades to come.

The commercialization of festivals has eroded their real significance
Intro
Festivals are part of our culture. They bring people together. It is a time of joy and festivity. In the Indian context of pluralism, we are blessed with a wide variety of traditions and arts that give festivals a richness of colour. But sadly, these days too much commercialization and pop culture has slowly taken away the beauty of these festivals.
Conclusion
If you ask the older generation how a particular festival was celebrated in their younger days, they often reply with a certain sadness in their eyes. This is because festivals during their younger days represented more of human goodness and care for each other. Today like many other walks of life, business mentality has stolen the innocence of festivals.

Teenagers today are more worldly wise than their parents
Intro
Teenagers of today are better informed, better educated, better entertained, and better connected. Technology has made this possible. With cable TV, internet, mobile phones and access to information about anything at their finger tips they are certainly more worldly wise than their parents.
Conclusion
Parents can never keep pace with the kind of technology invasion that is happening. It takes young and fresh minds to do so. This is what enables teenagers to keep one step ahead of their elder generation.

Animals should not be used for drug development or medical research
Intro
Human beings any day have greater value and dignity than animals. If animals are not used for drug development and medical research, how can scientific progress be made? Think about the severe consequences of the absence of animals in such activities. Who is going to suffer? Mankind will go back to the dark ages when no medication was available for epidemics that wiped away large sections of the human population.
Conclusion
We are not advocating cruelty against animals. At the same time, we cannot do away with the use of animals in medical research and drug development.

Men and women should have equal rights
Intro
Right from the time of Adam and Eve this debate has raged in human history. Though it is declared that all men and women are created equal we do not find this equality in practice. This is a very complex and sensitive subject. But without doubt, it needs to be said that women should have equal rights with men.
Conclusion
By claiming equal rights, women are not going to overthrow men in any area of life. She will still be a great mother and builder of the family. However she will actively participate in democracy, in education, in charity drives, in sports and even in space exploration. Without women having equal rights, how will a modern society survive?

Wish I Could Say I Am Sorry

I am sorry.
It takes courage to say those words. For you are taking responsibility for what went wrong.

I am sorry.
It shows your humility. For those who are proud well never admit that they are wrong.

I am sorry.
It shows your sincere willingness to change. For there is no point in repeating mistakes again and again.

I am sorry.
It shows that you are a human being and not an automated robot. For we tend to err in spite of all our good intentions and best efforts.

Blood Jesus Cleanse

I am sorry.
Life is about relationships. Like oil that lubricates hinges which moves huge doors are these words. Saying I am sorry can heal hurts, forgive wrongs, and restore friendships.

So let go of your pride. Take that first step. Instead of arguing that you are right just tell the other person “I am sorry.”

What a joy it is when you are brought back to God and people are brought near to each other with those simple words!

Getting Practical: Power-Pack Your Presentations

1. Prepare
No amount of talent or ability is of use until it goes through thorough preparation. The more you try to dig into a subject the more it becomes part of you. This process requires time, effort and patience. But its reward is confidence.

When you prepare for a twenty minute presentation have ready with you stuff for a one hour presentation. Even though you’ll not use the extra it shows on your face and the way you walk. It inspires confidence about you in the audience. And even before you open your mouth they feel an electric atmosphere in the air. They are ready to drink in every ounce of information that you give. What a moment!

Blood Jesus Cleanse

But if you walk up there with barely 20 minutes of prepared material, it will be like trying to fly a hot air balloon which has got a huge tear in it. It will not lift at all.

2. Involve your audience
The audience is always on your side. So why not make best use of them. At the beginning of your presentation ask them one or two friendly questions. Motivate them to answer positively.

Or seek the cooperation of one or two members in the audience to do something for you. Perhaps help with the arrangements on stage or with materials that you’ll use. Or have a show of hands or make all of them say something out loud. If you can get to know a few person’s names, use them. The audience will be delighted.

Thus involving the audience at the beginning of your presentation will get them interested in you and in what you have got to say. Then your presentation will have already succeeded even before it ever began.

3. Have a few surprises
There is nothing boring than the predictable presentation. It is like a low-scoring cricket game. No fun. So plan your presentation differently. Make it interesting. Think from the shoes of the audience. What would they delight in? What information will be new to them? How can I package it so that they’ll grab it?

Remember kids reach out for the best packaged chocolates and soft drinks. The colourful and the attractive immediately catches attention. The art of packaging your content is crucial to have a wonderful presentation. It needs much thought, creativity and imagination.

Above all, a willingness to experiment and fail at times. And learn from it. Be sure that you’ve excellent content to back it up. Otherwise you’ll disappoint your audience after beginning well.

4. Manage your time wisely
Be there before scheduled time. See that all equipment is in place and ready to function once the presentation starts. Talk to a few in the audience. Get to know what programmes happened before your event. Get a feel of how the mood of the audience is at that point in time.

Start on time. Give a rough idea to the audience as to how much time each segment of your presentation will take. And towards the end (especially if you note that the attention element is going down in the audience), tell them that you’ll be finishing in another 7 or 10 minutes as the case may be.

Give them a clue as to what important thing you are going to tell during that time. Then they’ll eagerly listen forgetting their tiredness. As for you remember to stop on time as promised.

5. Be sure to add the icing
End your presentation on a high, positive, lively note. Then it is audience-time. Most often speakers fail to utilize the after-moments. They just leave.

But this is the time that you can utilize to mingle with the audience. Answer a few questions. Listen to feedback. And criticism too.

The value of these moments will not be visible. But you’ll surely know the difference it makes when you give the next presentation.

Practise the Fine Art of Saying Thank You Daily!

Thank you comes at the end of speeches. But it is good if it comes first in your heart.

Life is busy for everyone. We are too busy that we don’t slowdown to tell thank you.

A thank you spoken kindly might be the only appreciation that someone might receive that day.

It can remind him or her that he or she is valued as a human being. It will enable that person to have self-respect and a sense of dignity in life.

Only a person with gratitude to God and men for the simple joys and kindnesses of life is able to say thank you.

Blood Jesus Cleanse

Then it is not just about the lips. It is more about sincerity. The tone of voice usually reveals the attitude with which a thank you was said.

Saying thank you is an opportunity to do good; to put a smile on someone’s face, and convey the depth of your emotions.

Life is brief. Don’t wait too long to say thank you.

Even now it is not too late. Is there someone to whom you can say thank you? Pick up your phone and make a call. Or if that doesn’t work for you, write a thank you note on a card or send a mail.

Let not someone lose hope in life simply because you forgot to say thank you.

There is the brightness of a sunbeam, the promise of a rainbow, the sweet fragrance of a flower in bloom and a heart’s gracious blessing in a thank you.

Even God delights to hear a little child say thank you for the gift of a toy he or she loves. Fascinating; isn’t it?

The Beginning, The Middle, and The End Makes a Story!

Daniela Stefan Zoo Tiger

Stories have got great power in communication. Primarily we need to understand that a well-told story is a complete piece of communication.

It has a definite beginning. Are we not familiar with the well-loved phrase, “Once upon a time”?

And stories do have a definite end. Again, we remember how we loved those fairy tales which ended, “And they lived happily ever after.”

There is action in a story. It gives our imagination a good exercise. Most stories arouse our curiosity. Thus we become active participants in the action when we listen to a story.

Blood Jesus Cleanse

This power to engage the listener is so vital to communication. That is why a story succeeds in capturing attention where other speech techniques probably fail.

It is also important to understand that great stories do revolve around themes that lie close to life: Fight between good and evil, competing for love, honour, loyalty and sacrifice, war and hate, heroes and villains, journeys and dead-ends, explorations and conquest, myths and legends, light and darkness, death and beyond, pain and suffering, joy and fear, success and failure, birth and new beginnings. This list is by no means exhaustive.

Yet anything from personal life that touches one of these chords will not fail to captivate the audience if told well. And nothing surpasses the power of a story that ends with hope!

Make Listening Your Top Priority to Succeed in Life

Listening is one key to success in life that is neglected often.

When you listen you gather vital information that can come to be useful in making correct decisions.

When you listen you make the other person feel valued. That itself is a key element in building lasting relationships.

Blood Jesus Cleanse

When you listen you are showing humility and a willingness to learn. It is quite the opposite of “I know it all” attitude.

When you listen you can avoid the trap of speaking hastily. For when you speak without thinking you say foolish things, and sometimes you speak angrily too.

When you listen you show great understanding. It shows your ability to see all sides of the issue as it helps you to analyse the situation, weigh the pros and cons and come to an effective conclusion.

When you listen you train yourself in the art of reading between the lines. Often what is left unsaid is more important than what people really said.

When you listen you are doing others a great favour. You are sharing with others your precious time. For many in today’s madly busy world are finding it nearly impossible to get a listening ear even within one’s home and with loved ones too.

Let me conclude by saying that listening is one of the great arts of communication, leadership, and human resources management.

How to Say Words of Appreciation to Win Friends and Influence People!

You look beautiful in this dress today. It fits you perfectly.”
“You showed great courage in honestly admitting that you committed that mistake.”
“You exhibited leadership skill when you rallied your team together for the mass drill.”

These are examples of words of appreciation. They are becoming rare these days. We fail to tell people how good they are when we have the chance and the opportunity. But many pour out words of appreciation when a person lies cold and dead. Isn’t that a bit too late?

Words of appreciation has to be genuine. When said well, it comes out spontaneously.

Words of appreciation reflect truth about a person that he or she has never had a chance to realise for himself or herself. The words of encouragement you speak open up divine possibilities in the life of others. They, in turn, will start to live in expectation and hope of a better tomorrow.

Blood Jesus Cleanse

Words of appreciation can change negativity quickly. A wife or husband who hears a word of appreciation from the other will be delighted to act kindly and enthusiastically and to offer help when needed.

Similarly, the life of many students have been changed for the better by one genuine word of appreciation by one of his or her teachers. It takes thoughtfulness on the part of the teacher to appreciate a student. Often, years later, teachers are surprised by their former students who come and tell them of the change words of appreciation had brought in their lives!

In a world where finding fault can easily become a hobby, words of appreciation can build others up. On the other hand, unkind criticism can tear a person down. Therefore you can choose to be one who make others feel valued and cherished.

It was Mark Twain who said “I can live for two months on a good compliment.” William James, American psychologist and philosopher said: “The deepest principle of human nature is a craving to be appreciated.” As long as we are obsessed with ourselves and selfies I doubt if we will ever have a mind to appreciate others. Therefore the first step is to stop looking inwards and instead be genuinely interested in others.

The second step is to look out for opportunities which will present itself to appreciate others. For example, one of your colleagues proposed a business idea in one of your team meetings. Why not preface your next comment with “That was a brilliant idea [Name]. Good that you brought it up.”

The most important step is to be genuine and sincere in your words of appreciation. Sometimes, just an approving look, a nod, a pat on the back (wherever appropriate), a firm handshake, a thumbs up or even a smile will go miles to make the day for someone.

Therefore appreciation is not just words but more importantly an attitude which can make friends and influence people. However, one problem we all have is taking for granted people close to us. Let us take time to appreciate the good food cooked at home for us. Let us be thoughtful to say how tasty it was. Let us learn to appreciate our children helping us with small things.

Let me conclude by saying that we can make this world a better place by being generous with our words of appreciation.

Influence Is the Key To Be a Better Leader

Influence is one key measure of leadership. It is often achieved through how a leader communicates.

A leader who is always busy and doesn’t have time for the individual is already out of the competition. So make it point to welcome interruptions as an opportunity to listen to others.

A leader who listens and is unable to help the other person have clarity on his confused thoughts has just wasted a lot of time. The other person expects a word of wisdom, a sense of direction, or at least a ray of hope. Be sure you provide that in your conversations.

A leader who forgets to say a genuine word of appreciation is never liked. He may be feared but will not earn any points on loyalty from members of his team. What fear and criticism fails to achieve is made possible through one kind and thoughtful word. “Anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up (Proverbs 12:25 Bible).”

Blood Jesus Cleanse

A leader who dictates will not last long. But gentle words of persuasion can break a bone is what Biblical wisdom* says. Speak gently, let logic and reason drive things home. Don’t yell at people and advertise to the world how small you really are.

A leader who is an influencer will make an attempt to see the hidden potential of a person. Even when a person is far from having achieved what he is capable of the leader’s role is constantly paint in words a picture of what the future is going to be for that person. Someday he will be grateful that you believed in him when others did not.

A leader who forgets to keep promises made is busy digging his grave. But those who do not break their word is building up a huge deposit account. At a time of crisis he will be able to encash some of this reserve.

Finally, a leader’s influence is in direct proportion to the example he sets. One act of being there for someone in a moment of need can enhance the way your team or followers see you. If you are privileged to skip the queue and even then you choose to stand with others anyway is an act of identification with others in your team.

Well, leadership is one fine art of creating influence wherever you go.

Tips on How to Maintain Eye Contact for Beginner Speakers

Eyes can speak without words. It can express love, hate, anger, excitement and so on. Therefore it is the speakers best connect with audiences.

In spite of this fact many beginner speakers fear to look in the eye of people in the audience. They might look up or far away. This is self-defeating as the speaker loses rapport with the audience.

Now part of the problem is caused by feelings of inferiority or loss of confidence. But a larger part of the problem is because the beginning speaker lacks knowledge on what to do on stage to maintain healthy eye contact with audiences.

The basic thing to know is that people expect you to look at them. This shows your confidence, preparedness, openness, as well as your good intention to connect and engage with people sitting in front of you.

Blood Jesus Cleanse

The second thing to note is the manner in which eye contact can and does happen. If it is a big audience just send your gaze to the back of the auditorium. Then let it scan towards the front. What you will probably see is a blur of faces. That is how it is.

Once that is done you can give sideways glances. This will make sure that you have the entire audience covered with your eye making contact with them. As you speak whenever you look to any one part of the auditorium you will feel as if your eyes are interlocking with one or a few people. Every time you turn in that direction your eyes will interlock with the same person or group (They may or may not be people known to you.). When this connect happens know that everyone in that part of the crowd feels included in your speech.

On the other hand when you are talking to a small group within a room make sure that you look at each person in the eye. If they are seated in a semi circle with you standing in the middle make sure that the people sitting at both ends of the curve are given due notice occasionally. Otherwise they will feel left out, lose interest in your speech, and maybe in the worst case go to sleep.

Having said that, do not gaze at any one person for too long. For 4 to 5 seconds can feel like an eternity when a speaker is looking at one person alone. Especially those who participate in Group Discussions should ensure that they do not engage in a one to one conversation too long. Instead break eye contact with the one to whom you are responding to and look at the entire group as you continue to speak.

Now coming to the positive side of eye contact; you should smile with your eyes. Let the audience know how delighted you are to be with them. As you exhibit ease and confidence through proper eye contact; you will feel the same reflected back to you in a magnified way from the audience.

As far as reading from manuscript is concerned, proper eye contact is the key to its success. You might have seen American Presidents do that in a thorough professional manner for their inaugural address. The secret is to look at a group of words and deliver them looking at the audience.

A well-prepared document in big point size with wide margins and typed in double space is a must for this. So also many rehearsals will make it look natural; full of energy and enthusiasm, and make it look stunningly confident.

Well, you may not have the expertize of a classical dancer to express a variety of moods with your eyes. But with a little practice you can show delight with a twinkling eye. A stare can communicate anger, hatred, resentment or rebellion. A far away look can signal disinterestedness, dejection, wishfulness or sadness. Yes the eyes can speak volumes without words.

7 Tips on How to Speak at Funerals and Memorial Meetings

How to talk on such an occasion is difficult to say. Emotions play a major role. But still some guidelines might help.

1. Try to establish your connection with the deceased person. Is it as a friend, colleague, teacher, student, or a familial relationship.

2. Speak of the manner of passing away. Was it peaceful? Was it is untimely? If it was a prolonged illness how did the person cope with it.

3. How has it impacted family, friends, and others known to the person?

Blood Jesus Cleanse

4. Try to state family history, upbringing, schooling and college education, employment, and married life whichever is applicable.

5. Recall one or two instances where the person’s unique qualities shone through. This is especially comforting to the members of family.

6. End with a note of support to the surviving members of family.

7. If there is a positive message that the person’s life exemplified, do mention it as something to be emulated and followed.

Death is a time when the future looks like a huge question mark. No one has easy answers to give. Yet if someone had firm faith in God, you can always highlight the certainty of hope he or she had. It is this hope of meeting one’s loved one again; more alive than now in the presence of God that makes the rainbow seen through the tears.

Jesus Is Risen!

The reality of death should make all think. How long before it is my turn? Before It comes how can I live with a purpose? Can I help make a positive difference in the life of others? In one word, the death of someone should make us wise in how we live in this world and how we are preparing ourselves for a life beyond earth’s final farewell.

Note: Avoid mention of negatives. It is also good not to describe the person in too many superlatives; that might come across as insincere.

Be brief in your talk. Remember to pick instances from the person’s life that show his or her love and care for others, exceptional academic, co-curricular or work-related achievements.

When Death Speaks, Listen to Its Meaning!

Conclusion of speech by Princess Diana’s brother at her funeral:
I would like to end by thanking God for the small mercies he has shown us at this dreadful time. For taking Diana at her most beautiful and radiant and when she had joy in her private life. Above all we give thanks for the life of a woman I am so proud to be able to call my sister, the unique, the complex, the extraordinary and irreplaceable Diana whose beauty, both internal and external, will never be extinguished from our minds.

Why Is the Art of Communication Vital to Leadership?

Have you ever wondered why even though there are plenty of leaders only a few create impact?

All these leaders have a vision, they have strategies and plans, they have organisational backing, and they have followers too in plenty. But then why is it that only few create impact; while the rest are leaders only because they occupy a position?

Blood Jesus Cleanse

One way to look at the answer to these questions is to listen to someone who has watched leadership at close quarters. James C. Humes, who wrote speeches for five American Presidents, said, “The art of communication is the language of leadership.” When he says so, we are compelled to listen because he has seen these leaders communicate with power, authority, charisma, and also declare their international policies with inspiring thoughts and words.

Purpose

So the answer to the question why only few leaders create impact has to do more with communication than with any other characteristic of leadership. If at all a leader can move followers and make them rally behind him in a worthy cause; it is because primarily he is purposeful and decisive in speech and action. Leaders who impact are undoubtedly those who speak with a sense of purpose and direction.

Clarity

Beyond purpose, the next spear-head of leadership impact comes through clarity in communication. It comes from clarity of thinking. When it is coupled with an intense desire to make oneself understood by the audience the impact is tremendous. Achieving clarity, however, is no easy task. It comes from thinking through a situation in all its dimensions.

Confidence

If purpose and clarity has to create impact it has to ride on the confidence of a speaker. Some people bank heavily on knowledge of the subject to ensure confidence. But that is not the only thing that determines confidence. The primary thing is the conviction that he or she as a leader is conscious of the authority vested with him or her. Courage, firmness, resolve, and the will to get things done; all combine together when a leader speaks with confidence.

Simplicity

Above all these, it is of supreme importance that leaders communicate with simplicity. Now that does not mean that a leader adopts the language level of a child to make oneself understood. That is not the point at all.

The point is that in our world of communication overkill, there are too many messages competing for attention at the same time in the minds of audiences. It is in the midst of all these you need to find space and a listening ear. To do so, you need to use vivid, concrete, specific, image-building words and phrases and create symphony which is memorable, striking, and lasting. It is an art in itself.

So let me stress four pillars of the art of communication that translates itself into the language of leadership. They are purpose, clarity, confidence, and simplicity.

Well, One characteristic of the art of leadership communication cannot be left unmentioned. It is brevity. Often brevity is achieved by asking questions that penetrate into defences, tear open hidden agendas, elicit information that was missing, provoke thought, and silence critics. If you are a leader, can you lead with questions? If not, your language of leadership is missing a fine art.

Too many words of explanation often dilute leadership messages. On the other hand economy of words strongly wedded to calmness indicate your authority and command. It also reflects your absolute confidence to inspire unswerving loyalty and instant obedience.

If you look at the sports field, especially in team games like football and cricket; the body language of captains often exudes power when they are in absolute command of their men and situation. During those times, a slight movement in his face itself can align his team to his wishes. The art of communication in leadership finally boils down to this bold exercise of authority.

Do You Know to Ask the Right Questions?

When was the last time you asked an intelligent question? Why is that the frequency of your questions decreased as you grew from a child to an adult? What prevents you from asking questions now? Is it stage fright? These are important questions.

But more importantly, you need to relearn the art of asking questions. Why is this important? This is important because asking questions enable you to think with clarity. It helps you to communicate to the other person that you are serious about the matter under discussion. Questions help us to gather vital information, show genuine interest, clarify doubts, etc.

Blood Jesus Cleanse

“It has been said that the whole art of gaining and of communicating knowledge consists in asking the right questions. It could be said that the way to certainty is to have the right kind of doubt.”1

A child is able to ask many questions because the child has a sense of wonder. Most questions begin with “Why?” in childhood. So to ask good questions, you need to be curious.

In a business setting, a few questions can really get you a lot of information. Having the right kind of information is an absolute must in decision-making; isn’t it?

Basically, there are two types of questions? One is the closed question. The other is the open-ended question. Closed question requires only a short response. Did you watch the movie yesterday? This just requires a Yes or No response.

On the other hand an open-ended question encourages the listener to talk more. Questions like, “Why do you think there are less women CEO’s in the industry? Is it because they hit the glass ceiling?” can make people talk and air their opinions.

If you ask questions aggressively, it can make people nervous and put them on the defensive. Many people are afraid to face questions because they have terror-filled experiences about it from School. So you need to be gentle when you ask questions. And show proper respect wherever and to whosoever it is due.

At the same time, asking wrong questions can show your lack of intelligence. It can reveal your ignorance and also make people question your credibility as well. Therefore do a lot of homework before you ask questions.

Finally, if you know how to ask questions, you can trap those who wanted to trap you. Here is a classic example:

Some people wanted to trap Jesus Christ. They came to him saying, “We know you are a man of integrity . . . Tell us then, what is your opinion? Is it right to pay taxes to Caesear or not?” But Jesus knew their evil intent and asked them why they were trying to trap him. He asked them, “Show me the coin used for paying the tax.” When they brought the coin (a denarius) to him, Jesus asked, “Whose portrait is this? And whose inscription?” “Casear’s,” they replied. Then Jesus said to them, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”2

This type of asking questions to turn the tables is an art. You too can be good at it if you try. Remember, sometimes the difference between failure and success in life is simply your ability to ask the right questions!

So what is the question you asked today?

1 Minute Speech on Magicians and the Magic of Words!

Magicians communicate effectively. In other words without using words with felicity, one cannot be a successful magician.

A magician is an excellent public speaker. His ability to interact with audiences, elicit desired responses from them and also his ability to persuade them quickly to take certain roles during the magic show is an art all who desire to be good speakers need to learn from.

Blood Jesus Cleanse

Often we find magicians use some favourite phrase repeatedly. It not only creates a sense of unity to his entire performance but also creates a sense of anticipation in the audience as something amazing is going to happen. This is something similar to the sound bite “I have a dream” that Rev. Martin Luther King used in his famous speech.

Another impact of the magicians words is that he is able to divert the attention of the audience away from the sleight of hand trick he is going to do. This makes the jaws of the audience drop when the magic happens.

Some magicians make it a point to spread a social or moral message through their magic. For example, many magicians effectively convey the importance of staying united as a team, as a family and as a nation.

Many magicians also have the gift of motivating audience to do better in life. This is good as many need a spark to ignite them to skyrocket to success.

Again, a magician has a tremendous gift of voice modulation. Through effective variations of his voice he is able to create different moods in the mind of the audience as he desires. Combined with the colourful costumes, grand stage settings, the properties he uses and lively music, a magic show leaves us thirsting for more when it ends.

The following video is in Malayalam Language but included because it is presented by a well-known magician and its content refers to magic and magicians while presenting on the Biblical message of purity and love for God with great clarity:

Sample Speech on Proudest Moment of My Life

Respected teachers and my dear friends,

A warm good morning to one and all.

If you ask people about the proudest moment of their lives, they come up with a variety of responses.

For example, Sachin Tendulkar, the legend of Indian cricket said, “Winning the world cup is the proudest moment of my life. I couldn’t control my tears of joy.”

And if you asked Wayne Rooney, one of the great English football players, he said, “Becoming a dad was the proudest moment of my life.Playing football does not even compare.”

Blood Jesus Cleanse

So also if you ask me what is the proudest moment of my life, I can answer without doubt it was when I too became a part of my Mother’s Ph. D. Open Defence. Let me tell about it.

My mother got her doctorate in education. And open Defence was the last part in the process of getting a Ph. D. This was held at Educational Tech Seminar hall of Bharathiar University Coimbatore. It was a big audience with many great personalities and professors attending.

As the programme was charted, as I desired, I got a chance to do the prayer song. I was a bit tensed because everyone else in the seminar hall were senior people with great educational qualifications. I was the only child in the hall. But by God’s grace I sang the prayer song in Tamil.

And after my mother’s open defence, when she said vote of thanks, she mentioned my name for singing the prayer song. It was at that time the audience gave a huge round of applause. It was then that I realized how much the audience appreciated my song.

As I look back on that day, the 14th of November 2014, I can say with great joy, singing that prayer song was the proudest moment of my life. Being Chacha Nehru’s birthday it was children’s day as well. And I am sure I brought honour to my school also by standing before such a wonderful gathering and doing well.

Let me conclude by saying that this moment about which I talked so far will always remain as the proudest moment of my life because I too could do a small part in the process of my loving mother achieving her proudest moment in her life. Thank you.

Speech for School Children on 3 Changes I Want to Make in My Village

The Appeal of Body Language in Speeches and Communication

No one can hold audiences spell bound without giving due attention to how he uses his body to communicate. It is proved beyond doubt that the way one uses one’s body to communicate can enhance the appeal of any message.

A raised arm, a sweeping movement, a bow, a playful raise of the eyebrows, a shrug of the shoulder, a pointed finger, a swift cut through the air, a bending forward while asking a question and then pause; all these are examples of powerful use of the body to emphasize, underline, and highlight what you say.

Blood Jesus Cleanse

Your Eyes
The power of a look has to be experienced to be believed. Your eyes can express a variety of emotions like love, anger, joy, playfulness and so on. More importantly it is your first connect with audiences. So use your eyes to maintain eye contact with the audience.

If it is a small group you can look at each individual once in a while. If it is a larger gathering, you will feel comfortable looking at one or two individuals in each segment of the large gathering whenever you turn in that direction.

Your Smile
This is your second connect with audiences. A smile can not only open the ears of people but also their hearts as well. It makes it easy for the audience to identify with you and also open up a dialogue with you. Sometimes you can get tensed during your presentation that you forget to smile. So remind yourself once in a while to smile.

Your Posture
I have seen many people lean on the lectern. This is not good. An erect posture not only communicates a sense of leadership and purpose; it also helps you to breathe normally. That helps in your voice production as well. And most people make the mistake of keeping their two feet together while they speak. This makes them look like a robot. Such a stance gives little room for spontaneous movement. Creativity is stifled.

Your Arms
Some people would like to hold on to the microphone or the lectern. It gives them a sense of security. Nothing wrong about it. At the same time one should know how not to deal with the arms on stage.

Crossed arms will distance you from the audience quite easily. Arms flying around will distract. Palms up are very weak. Any move of the hand to face is a signal to the audience that you are not at your confident best. So be bold in stretching out your arm and use gestures that will support, highlight, illustrate and make plain your content.

Your Movement
Formal occasions might not give you a chance to move around. But many speech situations will give you the possibility of moving on stage. Do not stay behind the lectern always. Why not step out to make a point and move back? If there is no lectern and you are holding a mike in your hand, gracefully walk into the midst of your audience to ask a question or to interact with them. Such moves are welcomed by the audience and will help them to connect with you in a deeper way.

A Speech Is Not Just About Words
A speech is not just about words. Though content is important; you the speaker through whom the message is delivered is also equally important. So make sure that you are able to impact the audience through the way you use your body to communicate!

1 Minute Speech on How to Choose a Topic

Isn’t it interesting that how to choose a topic is itself a topic? Here are some ways tips to choose a topic:

First of all, focus on the audience you are going to talk to. What are their interests, needs, concerns, fears at this point in time? If you have some of these answered you will have a starting point.

Secondly, think about your knowledge, expertize, and areas of interest. Think about how it can be made relevant to the audience you are going to talk to.

Blood Jesus Cleanse

Thirdly, think about recent happenings. What are things that are being talked about in the world or in your locality? What or who is making news headlines at this time? It can be in the world of politics, entertainment, sports and games or even climate change.

Again, there is yet another aspect you need to consider when you choose a topic. Do you have an interesting story to share? The story can be personal or it can even be a story you read in your childhood. If you have a compelling story to share, it can suggest you a topic.

Another sure shot way to choose a topic is start with universal themes like love, hate, war, peace, success, confidence etc. The canvas for such themes is huge. For example, You Can Overcome Loss of Confidence is a topic that can interest many; if not all.

Finally, when you choose the words of your topic let it be made lively, interesting, and having a punch. Something like “Never Say Die” would be good motivational stuff.

Angels Seen Says Reporter

Imaginary reporting for TV Channel when Augustus Caesear ruled Rome:
Timeline: Between B.C. 6 and B.C. 4

“Angelic activity on a scale never known before was reported around midnight at the open fields outside Bethlehem. Shepherds taking care of their flocks were astonished and filled with fear as a glorious light shone around them.

But an angel of God, they said, announced to them that they need not be afraid as a child destined to be the Lord and Saviour of the world was born in the town of David. He assured them that is good news of great joy to all the people.

Blood Jesus Cleanse

It is amazing that a news that is so localized in the little town of Bethlehem has such global impact and appeal to all. Moreover a great heavenly choir of angels sang praises to God saying, “Glory to God in the highest and peace on whom his favour rests.’

Peace, it seems, shall come to us not through treaties made between nations but between God and man through the Saviour born a child–The Prince of Peace!

The good news so inspired the shepherds that they made haste to Bethlehem to see the humble child lying in a manger. It is reported that they are going around spreading the news. This is The Reporter for World News!”

“For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God,
Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end.”1

“You are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”2

You Too Can Compere–7 Tips to Compere Excellence!

You can compere to your heart’s content and your audience’s delight as you follow these 7 steps:

#1. Believe You Can!
Think of the opportunity to compere as joy. Never believe the lie that you can’t do it. Of course, there will always be people who might be able to do better than you; but you still can leave a mark. The confidence that you can definitely do it is going to make a huge impact in your performance on stage as far as compering is concerned. So believe the best about yourself and step confidently on stage.

Blood Jesus Cleanse

#2. Write a Compere-Script
As no one will attempt to construct a building without having a plan or blue print with them; no one should attempt to do compering without preparing a script. Whether you read from the script or not is a question of lesser importance. Write down everything. The actual introduction, the lines inviting the speakers, the thank you notes in between, and so on you plan to use during compering. Leave nothing to chance. Also remember to leave blank spaces in between as well as in the margins to jot down last minute changes in the programme. A person who attempts to do compering without a script is yet again like a soldier going to war without weapons!

#3. Be Enthusiastic
The joy of fielding was once made known to the world by a former cricket player from South Africa, Jonty Rhodes. He made what was a routine part of the game into a highly developed art. Similarly, you can raise the level of compering to great heights by your great enthusiasm as Jonty Rhodes did with fielding. The way you walk on stage, your gestures, your voice; and in short everything you do should pulsate with enthusiasm. Then the crowd will surely catch the fire of your enthusiasm when you compere.

#4. Maintain Good Eye Contact
The eyes can communicate a whole range of emotions and can reflect the inner state of a person quite sharply too. So use your eyes to communicate an exuberant mood while compering. Let your eyes scan the entire audience. Do not get stuck up looking at the imagined balcony or looking at blank walls. Instead make everybody feel included with your eyes with a wide sweep across the audience.

#5. Vary Your Voice
Some people tell. Others shout. Some others are full of big-sounding words. Some others whisper on stage. The point is not whether one method is correct or not; the point is that there should be a rich variety in your voice. When inviting the chief guest to inaugurate the Seminar your voice should communicate that seriousness; while announcing a popular rocking song or dance in a Reality Show your voice should communicate excitement and the upbeat mood to create anticipation. Whatever be the situation, clarity of words is a must.

#6. Make Them Feel Good
A compere’s role is not to highlight how intelligent, knowledgeable or a wizard of words he or she is. Anyone who sets out to do so is inviting the wrath of the audience. The compere is someone who draws least attention to himself or herself . Instead his or her role is to turn the spotlight on someone else all the time. Your words, gestures, and other actions on stage should all help in magnifying the person or group you are talking about. It is then that the audience learns to better appreciate those people or the action that is happening on stage.

#7. Smile All the Way
It is not your fabulous dress or make-up or ornaments that is going to win the day for you. Neither are the words that you use going to help much; though words are needed. The greatest asset for a compere is his or her smile. These days people are fed up with cosmetic smiles that are artificial. Be genuine with the crowds. Then the smile from your heart will light up all the world with hope while you compere!

7 Mistakes to Avoid While Compering

Words serve as signposts while compering. They are to be used sparingly. As King Solomon wrote: “The more the words, the less the meaning, and how does that profit anyone?”1 If words are used sparingly, many mistakes can be avoided by the compere.

A simple, direct, dignified style with words that come from the heart yet stimulating thought would carry the day. A compere sets the tone, facilitates smooth transitions, takes on leadership roles when situation demands and signs off with elan.

Blood Jesus Cleanse
But often those who compere make several mistakes. Some of the more serious ones I have tried to point out in this blog post:

Example Mistake #1
Once at college, a friend of mine at the end of a debate competition announced that our Professor would share his valuable ideas on the topic. It was a tense moment. For my friend had not informed our Professor that he would be asked to speak. And the auditorium was packed to full capacity. Anyway, he spoke as he is a great speaker. But later he called my friend and advised him quite strongly never to
do this to another person.

Insight: Never surprise eminent people with off hand announcements that they’ll speak on the topic, that too in front of a packed audience.

Example Mistake #2
At an Inter-University Debate competition a young college student was made the compere of the programme. She might not have had much previous experience. When it was time for the Chief Guest, who was the Vice Chancellor of a University, to be invited to speak, she did so while she sat down at the rear of the stage. It was shocking to say the least.

Insight: Common sense and basic courtesy should not be forgotten while compering.

Example Mistake #3
I once learned a valuable lesson unexpectedly. I met a person known to me. So we talked for some time. Then he asked who the other person with me was. I introduced him saying he is a painter because that is what I thought he did. At that time he said nothing. But later he told me that he is not a painter but an artist who also paints for a living. I then understood that his esteem suffered a blow when I said he is a painter. Therefore we should seek to understand how people like to be introduced. Here many who compere fail.

Insight: When introducing people, always ask how they want to be represented before the crowd. Ask for a brief profile so that you can read it out and introduce them to the audience they way they want it to be done.

Example Mistake #4
“Our Chief Guest of the day is so and so. He’ll be speaking on the topic xyz. We can expect some great insights from him today. But before I invite him to speak let me share some of my ideas about this topic.” This kind of compere is an insult to the Chief Guest. If this person could do the job, why call a Chief Guest and then destroy anticipation, and interest in the topic he has prepared by giving a mediocre presentation just before the keynote address?

Insight: Do not overstep your functional role. You are asked to invite the speaker to share his thoughts; and not to speak on his/her topic.

Example Mistake #5
Much damage is done when those who compere misuse their freedom with the person being introduced. The compere might crack jokes from their shared past by saying that while studying together at college the Chief Guest was called, “. . . .” That might be true, but a public function is not the occasion to share it. Such remarks definitely destroys the serious mood of the audience and will make them view the speaker in a light-hearted manner. That is disastrous as far as the speaker is concerned.

Insight: A compere should be able to understand what is the apt remark for the occasion. Generally frivolous statements should be avoided. Remember what King Solomon said: “A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.”2

Example Mistake #6
It is not good to indulge in what many have termed “verbal gymnastics” while compering. Recently I heard a compere, who, instead of simply inviting the choir for the welcome song, went on to present a thesis on the importance of music. What he said was mostly irrelevant even as many bombastic words were stringed together without ryhme or reason in his short speech. It was totally inapropriate and uncalled for. He should have simply said, “May I invite the choir for the welcome song.”

Insight: When a simple direct statement is apt and appropriate, do not spoil the moment by making a garland of words with all kinds of wild flowers tied together without sense or sensibility.

Example Mistake #7
Gestures with the hand can spell trouble if not used with caution. Many who compere spread out their hands in wild sweeping motions to their sides and towards the person who is being introduced or invited. Except perhaps in informal settings, this has to be avoided as it destroys the ceremonial propriety that has to be observed. Casual, lazy gestures that spell over-familiarity with the speaker has to be avoided at all costs.

Insight: Always strive to make the audience respect the speaker and hold him/her in high regard even with the way you gesture especially with your hands.

The True Story of How I Lost an Interview Due to the Interviewer’s Blindspot

You can read this true story of how I lost a crucial interview on LinkedIn.

The Backdrop

Sometimes the blind spot (what the interviewer considers as most important or his/her passion, hobby etc.) of the interviewer can deny the candidate a job. Here’s a true story from my life that illustrates how this happens.

Once I was asked by a friend in the HR Department of a MNC to attend an interview for a Trainer’s Profile. I was working elsewhere during that time. So I was not particularly interested in that position. Yet since he asked me I attended. This was in the year 2000. It was held at a well-known 5-Star Hotel in the city. The interview board consisted of five people who were really experienced people. One of them (whom I later came to know gave motivational coaching to the Indian cricket team) saw my bio-data and said, “This looks impressive.” I was pleasantly surprised because at that time I just had a limited experience in training.

Blood Jesus Cleanse

I enjoyed the interview which took around 45 minutes. That night my friend called me. I told him that I enjoyed the interview and asked him what the interview board thought about me. The reply was succinct and true: “This guy is definitely talented; but not interested in the job.” But they were generous to offer me an opportunity to attend the next level of interview, if interested. I didn’t pursue it further.

The next year, in 2001, my friend again asked me to submit my CV. This time I was looking for a better opportunity and therefore applied. I was feeling encouraged by my performance last year. But this interview board comprised of middle-level managers (I did not know it then) rather than the big shots of last time. Venue was their campus at Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram, the year being 2001. An interviewer in the interview board who started the ball rolling. She asked me to introduce myself. As soon as I told that I am Post Graduate in English Literature; she stopped me midway through my introduction and started a rapid-fire round. Here goes the transcript:

Interview Success Is About Your Passion

The Transcript

“Who is your favourite poet?

I had none. Yet to answer her question I said, John Milton.

She asked again, “Quote some lines from Paradise Lost (which is John Milton’s greatest work and considered to the greatest epic poem in English Literature).”

It was then six years since I had completed my study and out of touch with my subject. But I tried hard to recollect and said, “His tongue dropped manna, but all was false and hollow.” I quoted those lines and escaped without much hurt though the quote in correct version is “But all was false and hollow; though his tongue Dropped manna.”

Then came her next question, “Don’t you like John Keats?”

I had no particular liking for this poet; so I mumbled, “He is also a good poet.”

The next question came (I was almost expecting it, and you might have guessed it too.), “Quote some lines from John Keats.”

Without much difficulty I said, “Heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard
Are sweeter.” (She was completing the lines before I finished. Kindly note this point!)

She asked me, “From which poem is that taken from?” I fumbled; but with some prompting I was enabled to say. “Ode on a Grecian Urn.”

The supplementary question followed: “A thing of beauty is a joy forever.” “From which poem is it taken?” I took more time to think; and she herself gave the answer, “Endymion.” [I had started to wonder why she was so much interested in Keats, while the job requirement had to do with training IT Professionals in soft skills.]

Then came the next thunderbolt; “What’s your opinion of Shakespeare? (By this time I had become terribly frustrated and knew that the interview was heading towards disaster.)

So I said in a terse, half-hearted manner; “He’s a good writer.”

“Just good?” was her response. (I think she had expected to hear a traditional praise of Shakespeare which was not forthcoming from my side.)

I amplified my answer, “He makes great stories of simple things.”

She became a little bit furious, “Isn’t that great?”

I became defiant by then and this was my reply, “That’s what all writers do.” [I knew that the interview was practically over for me by then.]

This person never gave the other two in the interview board any chance to ask questions.

After a few other questions, in a final effort to redeem the situation, my friend in the interview board interrupted her flurry of questions and asked me, “Bejoy, how would you sum up in a sentence or two what you have done so far in life?”

I looked straight into her eye and said, “Have something to say; and never fear to say it.”

After a few more questions the interview got over. I was told, “We’ll inform you later.” I left.

That night my friend did not call me unlike last time. So I called him late in the night and asked him, “Is this the way you conduct an interview?” He said, “We need to know everything about a candidate,” in a defensive manner.

The Redemption

A couple of years later I came to know that my friend was being promoted and transferred to an overseas assignment. I went to wish him well. I sat with him for nearly an hour and tried to understand what they looked for in a candidate especially in a campus interview. I had always wanted to ask him this question since he had recruited hundreds of students from Campuses across India. We spoke for some more time.

Then both of us stood up and shook hands. Then he said, “Bejoy, I’m sorry the way the interview was conducted two years ago.” Needless to say, I did not get through that interview just because one of the interviewers had a blind spot for quotations

Tips for Compering

“A thing of beauty is a joy for ever,”

so wrote John Keats. As far as a speaker is concerned, the opportunity to act as a compere for a programme is a great joy. It calls for all his skill, grace, and eloquence. Success as a compere is not a matter of chance. Instead careful preparation and precise execution is what makes compering a thing of beauty.

A compere can lift the mood and quality of a programme to great heights. Here are a few simple tips to do so.

#1. Be sure about all the names of people you have to mention. Try to understand how names that are strange to you are pronounced. Never get the names of people wrong; especially that of guests. Be also sure about their Profession or Qualification. Do not label them different from what they wish to be presented as.

Blood Jesus Cleanse

#2. Be clear about what you are supposed to do. Is it to introduce, felicitate, or simply invite them? Be clear about roles you are to play during the course of progress of the programme. Do the organizers expect you to hand over some memento to the Chief Guest to be given to its recipient? and so on.

#3. It is excellent if you can write down the entire script for compering before you actually do it. This not only gives you confidence but gives you freedom to make last minute adjustments. You need to remember that last minute adjustments come in plenty. Type your script in large, easy to read fonts in double space. Leave a lot of margin and spaces in between to insert comments.

#4. Be lively and enthusiastic in your presentation. A compere sets the tone for the entire programme. It is his privilege to keep the momentum going. Along with the words spoken, dynamism of the compere on stage helps the audience to eagerly anticipate the segment that follows.

#5. The way you begin is important. It is the starting block from where you will start sprinting. Have a smile from your heart on your face; show confidence in the way you stand; let your movements be with grace and be loud and clear when you begin. More than this, the introduction has to set the tone for the entire programme for the day.

#6. Find a few apt quotations (not commonplace jokes) which you can quote between speeches or programmes. If the audience can feel the connection between those lines and the program, then it would be fantastic. Humour arising out of situations or content of speeches can be used to connect with the audience.

#7. Be careful about voice modulation and clarity. Reduce speed without letting go of enthusiasm. It needs practice. Be loud enough to be heard. You may have to put in 10% to 25% extra effort than your normal speaking to get this right.

#8. Try to make transitions smooth through comments which are brief and to the point. Do not talk for long. Your role is to facilitate not to dominate. You are like the salt of the earth; adding taste without really clamouring for attention. As is said, a man who wants to lead the orchestra must turn his back on the crowd.

#9. Anticipate everything to go wrong. Because many times things do wrong unexpectedly. For example, power failure while someone is singing or speaking. Then you may have to step on stage and take control of things. Be prepared to do so. And also be prepared with knowledge in advance as to what can be done as back-up to redeem the situation.

#10. Finally, it would be great if you can go and practice your compering on stage at the actual venue a day before the event. To sum up, if you can enjoy your performance with confident enthusiasm and connect with audiences, you will do well.

Examples of signing off as Compere:

“Ladies and gentlemen, the celebrations have begun and will continue long into the night. This Football World Cup just concluded has left behind some great memories like the brilliance of the fireworks now lighting up the night sky. New stars have risen, others have bid adieu. But for the moment, let us celebrate with the winners. Good night!”

“We have come to the end of a musical evening whose memories will linger long in our mind. It brought near to us the hope of Christmas. It is now time to thank all the participating choirs once again for their enthusiastic rendering of traditional carols. Wish you all a Jesus-centred Christmas and may all your dreams, desires and wishes come true at this blessed time of the year.”
