It is a message of comfort that is heard;
With a loud shout good news shared:
There is going to be a better tomorrow–
God will carry you close to his heart,
And gently lead you to your reward.
Oh, great and awesome is our God,
The Holy One, above all else,
None to him can compare:
He brings out stars one by one by his great power,
Calling each by name, not one missing;
Displaying his mighty strength.
Therefore, do not complain.
God has not forgotten you.
Your troubles are not hidden from his eyes.
Do not think that God is like you and me.
He will not grow tired or weary.
You cannot exhaust his wisdom–
He has an answer to your pressing problem.
He will give strength to you.
You are weak, but he gives you power.
When you wait for God
And hope in him,
He will help you renew your strength.
And like eagles in upward flight,
You will rise and soar.
So cheer up,
God will help you.
He is speaking a word of comfort to you today.
